They claim that these are the type of stories that “stay with you all day” and they often have that effect on me. This morning I heard one about Caleb Smith, the guy who walked every street in New York City. Listen to Caleb tell about his incredible journey. movie poster for The Three Burials of Melquiades EstradaLast night I went to see The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada at Landmark Theatres in Boston with my indie film buddy, Jeff Damiani. Those of you who know me are aware that there isn’t a critical bone in my body. I have such a hard time critiquing anything or anybody that I could probably find something nice to say about George W. Bush. For Instance: I think George W. Bush would be a GREAT chimpanzee impersonator

This shortcoming makes me a horrible film critic. However, if you trust that my ability to avoid hanging out with bad people can translate into a similiar deftness for avoiding bad films, then you should feel confident that any movie I decide to see is probably a good one. (more…)
